Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor on WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time in Charleston working as a journalist, was a anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
